Android 11: How to Install Android 11 Developer Preview on Your Phone

Android 11 developer supports the Google Pixel smartphones. You can’t install Android 11 on any other smartphone. The list of compatible devices are Google Pixel 2, Google Pixel 2XL, Google Pixel 3, Google Pixel 3XL, Google Pixel 3a, Google Pixel 3a XL, Google Pixel 4, and Google Pixel 4XL. 

STEPS TO INSTALL ANDROID 11 DEVELOPER PREVIEW ON YOUR PHONE-

• Initial step is to enable the developer option on your Pixel smartphone. For that switch to ‘settings’>About Phone>switch down, and tap on build no. 10 times. It enables the developer options for your device.

• Move back, and click on ‘system’> then tap on ‘advanced’> developer. Now enable OEM unlocking. Once finished, switched down to enable USB debugging as well.

• On your computer, open the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge version 79 or above, and visit the website. 

• For Windows 10 computer, Install the ‘Google USB Driver for Windows’. 

• Once the android developer preview website is loaded, just connect your phone to your computer, and tap on the Android Flash Tool Link to your device name. 

• Tap on OK to allow the USB debugging, click on Allow for that. If your phone doesn’t get connected, tap on ‘Add New Device>a pop-up will shown on screen>tap on your phone’s name>tap on Connect. Click on Allow. 

• Tap on the box where your phone name is mentioned. Next page, tap on the pencil icon, next to Selected Build. Now enable the Lock Bootloader option to ensure your phone’s bootloader is located. Now tap on ‘Install’. 

• Users will be asked to avoid interacting with your phone. Tap on ‘Confirm’, and then ‘I Accept’. 

• Tap on Yes on Factory Reset option. 

• Now your phone will reboot to its bootloader screen to see the current status of your phone on the computer screen.

• Move ahead, and tap on ‘Reselect device’. Tap on Android>Connect>you’ll be asked to unlock the bootloader, tap on start. 

• Navigate to unlock the bootloader with the volume keys, and choose by clicking the power button. Android11 download will start to track the progress on your screen. 

• Once done, just tap on ‘start’. On your smartphone, choose to lock the bootloader. Navigate with the volume keys, and choose by hitting the power button. At last click on done on your computer’s screen. 

• Wait while your phone reboots. Now you’ll see a message that reads, software successfully updates to start setting up the device, and unplug it from the computer. 

• Once your device is set up. Now you have a Pixel phone running Android11 with the May 5 2020 security patch.
