• Just select either Column A>Format>Conditional Formatting. 

• From Format Rules choose Custom Formula under the drop-down list.

• Now you can find the formatting styles under the format rules that lets you to set a different color for highlighted duplicates. To do that click on the Fill Color icon, and choose your preferred shade.

• Assume that you want to highlight duplicates between B1 to B10.

• For that move to Format, and choose Conditional Formatting. 

• Enter the data range, B1:B10 under the Apply to range.

• Go to the drop-down list under the Format rules, and choose Custom Formula is. 

• Enter the Value for the custom formula,=countif(C5:C, C5)>1.

• Select a different color for the highlighted duplicates, and once you’ve finished, Tap on Done.

Steps to Highlight duplicates across multiple columns

• Move to your spreadsheet in Google Sheets, and choose multiple columns. 

• Assume that you select column D to F> Tap Format> Conditional Formatting. 

• Go to the Drop-Down List, and choose Custom Formula under the Format rules. 

• Enter the Value for the custom formula,=countif(B1:E,B1)>1.

• Select a different color for the highlighted duplicates, and once you’ve finished, tap on Done.

• Additionally, If you want to choose the duplicates for column M-P, then you replace B1 with M1, and E with P. The formula becomes,=countif(M1:P,M1)>1.

• Simply repeat the earlier steps to highlight duplicates, enter the Value for the custom formula,=countif(A1:Z,A1)>1. 

STEPS TO HIGHLIGHT DUPLICATE ENTRIES IN YOUR SPREADSHEET, THE NEXT STEP IS TO DELETE THEM
