eSIM or Embedded Subscriber Identity Module, as the name suggests, is embedded directly into your smartphone. It is a SIM card that is embedded in a mobile that connects you to any operator offering eSIM services. It works the same way as a traditional SIM card. It is an evolution of the physical SIM card. 

STEPS TO ACTIVATE YOUR AIRTEL eSIM

• Initially, SMS eSIM registered email ID to 121. 

• Then the process will continue, you have to reply back with “1” that confirms the eSIM change request in under 60 seconds. 

• After the verification, you will provide consent overcall. 

• Now you will receive a final SMS for the QR Code on your email id. 

• Then scanned and ensure to complete the process of adding the Carrier. 

• If encase not get the QR code within 30 min, then SMS “NOSIM TO 121” to avoid disconnection of the SIM. 

• Now the eSIM will be activated in approx 2 hours of scanning the QR code.
