                  How to Add Your Bank Account to Paytm for UPI Transactions

Initial step is to download the Paytm app from Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store to begin using the digital payment service. Now users will need to register on the Paytm app. Use the number that you used in your bank account. Now for adding a bank account to Paytm for UPI transactions, just go with the following steps. 

STEPS TO ADD YOUR BANK ACCOUNT TO PAYTM FOR UPI TRANSACTIONS

• Go to your Paytm app on your device. When pop-up shows then click to link your Bank Account option. If doesn’t then click on the hamburger menu. Then click on Your Accountsl>UPI. 

• The new dialogue box will show you a list of bank names. Choose your bank that has the same phone number that registered as Paytm. 

• Then you will receive a SMS for verification. 

• Tap on Proceed to go ahead with verification via SMS. Now you will receive an SMS that the UPI registration process has begun. 

• Paytm will generate a UPI ID for you. For more options, move to hamburger menu>default bank account option.

• Can I transfer money from my bank account to UPI?

• Remember, you cannot link your mobile wallet to UPI, only a bank account can be linked to UPI. You can link more than one bank account to UPI. There are 3 ways to transfer money via UPI- by entering the virtual payment address (VPA) of the receiver, account number and IFSC code or QR code.

• There, you will need to select to pay via BHIM or UPI ID of your credit card. It will be linked to your 16-digit credit card. The amount will be transferred to your credit card account from your bank account. After paying the amount, you will get a transaction ID on the successful transaction.
